Schafer Hardwood Flooring Company is a leading manufacturer of World-Class Wide Plank Flooring in North America! Our dedicated team work together to create a quality product that they are proud of and our customers appreciate. Currently operating on a standard 5-day/week, 8 hour/shift schedule Monday-Friday (7a-330p) with the potential for voluntary overtime periodically.

Full Time position available starting at $18-20/hour commensurate with experience.

Job Summary:

Schafer Hardwood Flooring Company is a leading manufacturer of World-Class Wide Plank Flooring in North America! Our dedicated team work together to create a quality product that they are proud of and our customers appreciate. Currently operating on a standard 5-day/week, 8 hour/shift schedule Monday-Friday (7a-330p) with the potential for voluntary overtime periodically. Our Warehouse Coordinator facilitates the incoming raw materials and outgoing distribution of our stunning wide plank flooring.


Essential Functions:

  1. Handles lumber material, operating machinery and hand tools.
  2. Receives incoming raw material lumber and sublet products following standardized processes.
  3. Coordinates the pickup and distribution of raw materials.
  4. Loads and unloads shipments using forklift and/or hand jack.
  5. Transports product within facility.
  6. Prepares shipments, coordinates drivers and flooring distribution; and, schedules deliveries.
  7. Delivers products/materials on occasion.
  8. Follows all standard operating procedures, safety guidelines and policies.
  9. Comply with required attendance policy and be physically at assigned location to fulfill job functions.
  10. Works harmoniously with others with exemplary interpersonal skills.
  11. Works on strict deadlines which require prompt attention to detail and reliable attendance.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Ability to work assigned shift and adhere to attendance guidelines.
  2. Must have reliable means of transporting to work.
  3. Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
  4. Acceptable driving record and drivers license with Class B endorsement in good standing.
  5. Adhere to Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace guidelines.
  6. Ability to read and follow instructions and complete tasks.
  7. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Education/Certification/Licensing/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements:

  1. Previous demonstrated experience in similar production capacity; previous manufacturing/warehouse environment experience required.
  2. Certification for HiLo required (or ability to attain certification upon hire.
  3. Class B driving endorsement required.
  4. Ability to read, write and use micrometers, calipers and other related measurement equipment required.
  5. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  6. Attentive to detail and well organized.
  7. Mechanically inclined.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  1. Involves working in a production/manufacturing plant environment regularly exposed to extreme temperature, extreme noise, fumes, dust, etc.
  2. On the road making deliveries or pickups approximately 30% of the time; On site within warehouse 70% of the time
  3. Ability to move throughout the facilities regularly.
  4. Ability to lift, carry and transport up to 40 pounds.
  5. Ability to speak, hear and see.
  6. Ability to sit, stand, push, pull, climb or stoop.
  7. Ability to keep up with production pace for entire shift.
