Input Technology is searching for a Publicly Available Information Analyst for a client based in Quantico, VA.

Job Summary:

Operating in the Information Environment is the valued, critical element of combined arms served by the Marine Corps Information Environment Center (MCIOC). The Center provides operational support to the Marine Components with the coordination and integration of information operations support activities in understanding a target audience's behavior to then take actions to attain an operational advantage. This entails the information environment characterization cycle of collection, analysis and planning, to refine requirements and develop information operations campaigns.

Professionals in this position will seek out and research publicly available information to then gain its true value by incorporating this unclassified data with other collection processes, or combine with other data to provide multi-source data fusion for an enhanced overall understanding of a target, region or situation.

Primary Duties:

  • Collect actionable publicly available information (PAI) by utilizing advanced research, coding and various search tools
  • Apply managed attribution skills to craft reports and briefs in support of clients at the strategic, operational and tactical levels in support of Information Operations.
  • Scrutinize thousands of PAI findings to identify trends, patterns and relationships
  • Develop succinct reports or finding pertinent to clients' needs
  • Provide outlook analysis of regions of interest and potential impact on clients' mission
  • Employ technical analytical skills to identify and evaluate highly sensitive systems, polices, or processes with potential to threaten the U.S. national security
  • Sustain diligent situational awareness or current with events and global trends to lend an enhanced perspective on findings for ongoing IO efforts
  • Develop procedures to address complex problems related to design, systems' integration and faulty analysis
  • Document procedures, process changes, trends and implications of designs and integration of evolving systems.
  • Assist developers, and software designers in testing, conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications to improve analyst processes


  • Experience: Minimum of at least 7 years' experience, with 2 years of work experience within a mission area(s) of information operations – Required
  • Intelligence Analyst experience of at least 5 years - highly preferred
  • Experience working with multiple search engine tools, media search engines, data gleaning systems – Highly Desired
  • Able to work semi-independently with oversight and direction
  • Ability to interpret analysis with its implications, level of importance and true meaning
  • Able to defend analytic judgments with logical conclusions and adapt analytic decisions
  • Able to communicate complex issues in a concise and organized manner
  • Competent in developing structured research while obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information within security and data protocols
  • Adept at working collaboratively with other team members on information sharing, data analysis, data products, or addressing analytic differences
  • Demonstrated ability to develop concise and comprehensive products for defense intelligence


  • Desired Education: Bachelor's degree - preferred
  • AA degree with experience exceeding minimum experience requirements is acceptable
