Outside Sales Representative
Innovative Food Services Group is hiring a Representative to work full-time in Atlanta, GA. We are seeking a career-minded candidate with persistence and sales achievements in the food service or hospitality industry.

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for obtaining new accounts in all foodservice operations including hotels, independent restaurants, resorts, country clubs, hospitals, nursing homes, chain accounts, stadiums, convention facilities, schools, and universities. This position requires a broad knowledge of the organization’s products, services, and marketing techniques.

Innovative Foodservice Group is a leading foodservice equipment distributor with four major brands across multiple geographies. IFG serves a diversified customer base primarily in the restaurant, lodging, education, and healthcare industries.

Job Requirements:

  • Travel throughout assigned geographic or account base territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
  • Displays or demonstrates product, using samples and catalogs to emphasize features and benefits on every call.
  • Works with credit department to set credit terms for orders obtained
  • Responsible for collections of all accounts
  • Keeps informed on new products, pricing, and other general information.
  • Ensure proper service and follow-up on all customer accounts.
  • Ensure that all customers have an assigned frequency of sales contact and assigned frequencies are maintained in the weekly call plan.
  • Sales reps must contact key personnel in all customers and on a regularly scheduled basis to achieve maximum vertical penetration. This includes the accounts payable department.
  • Communicates account activity to maintain a high level of follow-through re: credit, collections, and adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain an active prospect list. New account prospect calls must be incorporated into all weekly call plans.

Qualifications:

  • Must have previous experience in food service or business-to-business selling in hospitality industry.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be prepared to provide proof of insurance in accordance with IFG minimum requirements for coverage.
  • Must have the ability to operate a PC in order to utilize e-mail and Microsoft office products, including learning new programs (TRX and AQ360).
  • Ability to learn broad and specific knowledge of the company’s products, services, and marketing techniques.
