Based on our projected growth we are adding a Customer Service Representative for Accounting to our team. The main responsibility of the Customer Service Representative (CSR) for the Accounting Department is to process customer orders and provide a superior customer experience. The CSR will ensure the integrity of Innovative Control Systems’ financial information and provide assistance to the Controller or other Departments when requested. Within the company, the position has primary working relationships with the sales staff, support, accounting and production departments. This person is required to maintain a positive, professional and cooperative relationship with all departments within the company as well as with all ICS customers, distributors and vendors that you may communicate with. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe priority of this position is to handle customer calls. Punctuality to answer calls and handle customer orders using superior customer service skills to ensure customers have a positive experience.Customer relations and ensure all customer issues are handled timely and in a professional manner.Prepare sales orders for customer orders using our call center software; ensure proper coding is used; process daily invoices; produce credit memos for returns; process credit card payments; cash receipts entriesPrepare and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets.Must be detail oriented to provide accurate figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to financial transactions.Assist coworkers as needed to complete tasksAll miscellaneous administrative duties delegated by Administrative (Accounting) Management CompetenciesBehavior – Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving appropriately.Technical Skills – Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Accounting SoftwareCustomer service – Ability to communicate with customers using strong customer service ethics. Ensures customer satisfaction by addressing aggravated or displeased customers in various situations; responding promptly to customer needs by directing their request or complaint to the appropriate service department or staff; soliciting customer feedback to improve service; meeting commitmentsOral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions and requests.Dependability- Follows directions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.Professionalism – Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; proprietary Innovative Control Systems information is kept confidentialTeamwork – Contributes to a positive team environment and works well with others to meet deadlines.Diversity/Ethics – Treats all employees and customers with respect.Attendance/Dependability – Consistently at work on time producing quality work. QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma; Accounting Education a plusExperience: Minimum 5 years accounting/bookkeeping experience.
