Building Inspector

Remote Video Inspector:

A Florida Statue 553 standard certified one- and two-family inspector, or an individual with Florida Statute 553 standard certifications in building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical trades. This position is a part time, peak-time position working weekdays from mid-day until early evening as demand warrants. The ideal candidate must be reliable, consistent, personable, able to work independently and able to express ideas and direction verbally without face to face contact. Constant ability to hear, see and speak using a personal computer and internet connection. Must have a thorough understanding of the Florida Building Codes and flood zone requirements. Ability to read building plans, engineering documents, energy forms and other documents typically found in the construction environment. Must be able to take direction and conform to inspection standards established by management. May be asked to perform special inspections at times outside of normally scheduled hours. Candidate does not have to be physically active, as inspections are performed remotely. Veterans and disabled meeting the minimum requirements are encouraged to apply. Minimum Requirements:

• Florida Statue 553 standard certification as a one- and two-family inspector
• As an alternative, Florida Statute 553 standard certifications in building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical trades
• Ability to be available to perform remote video inspections weekdays from mid-day until early evening
• Can perform remote inspections with tact, efficiency and representing the values of the company
• Keep and report required records
• Ability to use proprietary software, as well as experience using Teams, Word and Excel
