Infrastructure Services Group LLC (ISG) and Inland Waters LLC, leaders in the northeast trenchless pipeline rehabilitation industry, have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, detail oriented and dependable Equipment & Diesel Repair Technician/Mechanic to join their rapidly growing company in Johnston, RI. Training is provided. This position's primary function is to repair diesel engines and a variety of other light to heavy equipment, including basic electrical and plumbing.
The Equipment & Diesel Repair Technician/Mechanic must take part in training. Regular workdays are Monday Friday, second shift, from 2:00pm 10:00pm as the equipment returns from job sites.Key Responsibilities: Welding and Fabrication Fabrication of new equipment Repair of existing equipment Electrical system repair Plumbing repair Light to heavy Diesel engine repair Truck repair Maintain clean work environment Demonstrate a commitment to safety by following OSHA and company safety... standards Must be able to perform all tasks assigned on a daily basis Perform other duties as assigned and reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated aboveCandidate Requirements: Must believe in the core vision of ISG, applying professional action and follow-up to support ISG's commitment to customer service Must be hard-working, detail oriented and motivated with the ability to follow directions High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience and/or equivalent training and certifications Heavy and Light Auto/Truck Diesel Experience Knowledge of mobile computer diagnostic skills for auto and diesel system Must possess a CDL Class B with Tanker and Air Brakes Endorsement or be able to obtain one(preferred) Must have own tools Building/Carpentry skills a plus High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability Be able to multi-task Work cross-functionally with other departments as needed Must be able to work on a wide range of equipment and move from project to project quickly Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries in working with clients and co-workers Ability to work independently as well as be a part of the team with minimal day to day supervision - must be self-directed Demonstrates a positive attitude, self-motivation, and resourcefulness while maintaining a reputation that reflects proactive team participation.
