Why Work Here?

Great company culture with staff dedicated to exceptional care for animals and their owners in the communities we serve!

Established in 1949, the Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. (IVHS) is a private, 501(c)3 non-profit, full-access animal shelter dedicated to providing a safe refuge for the stray, abused, neglected and relinquished animals in our community. IVHS serves approximately 1 million people and their pets throughout 15 cities in Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties. Every day our dedicated staff ensures that every animal receives the food, veterinary care and the attention they need until they can find their forever home. The organization is supported by contributions, grants, bequests, proceeds from pet adoptions, pet licensing, fees for services, and municipal contracts. Our mission to care for all animals is made possible by compassionate individuals like you! With a staff of highly recognized animal control and humane officers, IVHS answers the call of thousands animals in need every year. With our community outreach programs we educate the public on the humane treatment of animals including local wildlife, proper pet care and how to be a responsible pet owner. Equally important is IVHS’s commitment to provide affordable veterinary care with a mobile vaccination clinic, low-cost and no-cost spay and neuter programs, and micro chipping for our communities. In 2015, our organization committed to its Getting To Zero (G2Z) strategy, where no healthy, treatable, adoptable animal is euthanized...and thanks to our dedicated staff as well as those in our partner cities, IVHS reached its goal in 2017 and is committed to staying at Zero!
