The members of the Inland Group of Companies are highly experienced in aircraft de-icing, environmental management, and ground handling. The Inland Group of Companies consists of IDS, Inland Technologies and Quantem Aviation Services; collectively, we provide a range of aviation support services and operate in over 50 airports in five countries.  Each member of our family of companies is a leader, focused on the delivery of superior customer service and innovation.  IDS’s core business is the safe and efficient delivery of de-icing and anti-icing services to our carrier clients. IDS enjoys a reputation of safety, efficiency, reliability, and environmental responsibility. The IDS brand is built on trust, and all training, technology and communications are focused on the safe departure of aircraft and their passengers.  Collectively, we have safely de-iced over 600,000 aircraft.  We are driven to exceed client expectations and be the most environmentally conscious de-icing company in the world.

Position Overview:

Imagine you start your day preparing to conduct a scheduled inspection on a de-icing truck to ensure it is always in safe and operational condition, when a co-worker approaches you to let you know that one of the Glycol Recovery Vehicles is leaking. You inform your General Manager of this status change before you follow your team member outside (weather conditions may include SNOW, RAIN, WIND and whatever else Mother Nature deems necessary for the season). You perform an independent diagnostic and assess the issue before making the necessary mechanical repairs in accordance with Inlands SOP’s. Before the equipment can be cleared for use, you must complete all the necessary reporting, record keeping and communications in an accurate and timely manner. Once that is completed, you return to your scheduled inspections that you had planned for today and maintain accurate maintenance records, at least until you must prioritize a more pressing task.

You are a Mechanic working with Inland Technologies at Halifax Stanfield international Airport; you are responsible and accountable for the safe and cost effective repairs of all facility equipment and to use every opportunity in promoting the company’s interest and goals while maintaining excellent service, satisfaction and public relations with Inland’s customers.

You return home from work every day knowing that your job is meaningful, that at Inland, you are more than just an employee; you are a respected and valued member of our team. You can leave each shift with the satisfaction of knowing that your efforts quite literally keep our operations running smoothly, safely and efficiently.
