Job Title: Research Program Manager III 30923-1

Duration: 6 Months (W2 Possible Conversion)

Location: Seattle, WA

Philadelphia, PA, San Diego, CA, Baltimore, MD, Los Angeles, CA and Boston, MA.

Research Program Managers build and scale global research programs to strengthen the impact of our world-class UX Research team. We do this by implementing operational systems, connecting teams and knowledge, and problem solving operational hurdles to enable Researchers to do their most impactful work.

This role will help optimize how we work and improve team processes to support one our growing product research teams at Facebook. This will entail supporting team planning and comms, partnering with researchers and program managers to create scalable practices, driving rolling research and panel management efforts, and supporting other developing needs as they arise.

We’re looking for someone who will enable the team's best work by leading the strategic planning of programs, managing short- and long-term project milestones, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting resources to research needs, and removing barriers to doing great work. Our Research Program Managers are experts in problem solving and multitasking, building relationships, and utilizing a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills that help our talented teams operate at their highest and most effective level. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, resourceful, highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.

Job Responsibilities:
* *Panel Program Management*
* Setup, scale and execute strategic programs to optimize recruitment of merchant research participants via panel management.
* Manage and promote use of panel and rolling research program
* Manage vendor relationships, including ensuring deliverables are executed in a timely manner, and partnering with vendor account managers on internal communications and schedules.
* Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g. Participant Management, Legal, Finance) to create, maintain and refine processes
 *Team processes and documentation*
* Manage and coordinate ongoing communication share outs (e.g. HPMs) on behalf of team
* Partner with team leadership on establishing effective team communication, proactive problem solving, information gathering and distribution as well as cross-team collaboration
* Facilitate team-wide All Hands by preparing agendas, identifying relevant topics, and establishing action items and owners
* Support research planning and allocation, helping track, align and forecast team budget needs
* Collaborate with the Research Ops team to maintain team member onboarding, org charts and mentorship programs, refining programs to the team’s specific needs
* Contribute to team processes and tools, updating databases and initiating improvements where needed
* Support, collaborate on, and execute special team projects that build culture and drive clarity of purpose, including team off sites and work sessions

 *General Program Management*
* Create, maintain, and refine programs and initiatives, establishing operational systems and outcomes
* Support the team by proactively identifying and solving problems and issues, effectively distributing pertinent information, and openly communicating roadblocks and successes
* Prioritize competing needs with sound reasoning and creative solutions
* Proactively identify and partner with stakeholders on new internal processes, templates, and guidelines to improve team efficiency, and refine and optimize processes and documentation over time

* *Minimum Qualifications*
* 5+ years of experience as a project or program manager with a background establishing programs and supporting teams
* Track record of operating independently and delivering results, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
* Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with internal and external audiences, including leadership, peers, and cross-functional partners
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization and flexibility
* Experience building relationships with peers and stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations

*Preferred Qualifications*
* Familiarity working within the UX Research field
* Experience working in client or vendor management
* Experience developing and managing user research panels

Top Must Have Skills:
Program management skills and experience
Past role interfacing with a lot of stakeholders

Prefer someone with working in tech industry
Design/Research experience preferred
