 Job Description: Design Program Manager, CMS Website Developer

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 6+ Months

The Design Communications and Brand team develops, produces and curates content for all Design-related publishing channels at Facebook, including a website and social media channels. Our publishing channels celebrate our global product teams, their work across Facebook apps and technologies and how we collaborate around Facebook’s mission to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.

Calling all website developers, producers, and project managers. We are looking for an experienced contract Design Program Manager (DPM) to support the maintenance and growth of the Design website. Working closely with a small publishing team and external development agency, this individual will create and clearly communicate project plans, launch schedules and will be responsible for the website’s overall digital content production. They will also lead and manage external partner workflow and roadmapping, run scrum sprint planning meetings, communicate project key performance indicator (KPI) status to stakeholders, identify roadblocks and ideate solutions, and conduct thorough user acceptance testing (UAT).


Identify and drive website initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders and many moving parts
Manage the strategic roadmap and sprint schedule to continually evolve and improve the website, ensuring alignment with overall Facebook Design publishing strategy
Closely collaborate with and lead specialized website projects with a small publishing team, including a managing editor, communications designer, digital marketer and external development agency
Partner with channel owners to incorporate relevant content into the website
Ideate and develop new tools and resources to continually improve program management and processes
Provide feedback and QA support for all content and launches
Manage Google Analytics dashboards and report data trends, progress and growth metrics, while ideating data-driven decisions to improve UX
Identify opportunities for improvement on the website, using website strategy, analytics data and community feedback to drive prioritization
Autonomously manage external vendor relations and workflows, including budgeting, resourcing, sprint planning, and special projects
Facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives and establish clear next steps and owners, resolving blocks that impede progress
Proactively assess risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for larger teams

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of experience as a website developer, website producer, digital producer, project manager or program manager
Minimum 3 years of hands-on CMS content development, publishing, and workflow authorization experience
Experience leading website strategy
Experience developing responsive front-end framework using HTML and CSS
Understanding of SEO best practices and front-end performance optimization techniques
Working knowledge of kanban and agile development methodologies
Working knowledge of project management software
Experience working collaboratively with designers, developers and marketers
Experience communicating with data to drive change
Experience working successfully in a fast-paced environment that requires independent work, time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and keen ability to identify problems and proactively work towards solutions
Demonstrated ability to manage projects from start to finish, improvise and shift strategy and operate with ambiguity
Excellent communication and organization skills
Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and highly dependable
Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working with design and marketing teams
Demonstrated experience in Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver), Google Analytics, and Figma
