We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

The Global Licensing Group is the licensing industry’s leading trade show organizer and media partner. Its mission is to provide licensing opportunities around the world by bringing brands and products together. The following events and information products are produced for the licensing industry by the Global Licensing Group: Licensing Expo, Brand Licensing Europe, Licensing Expo Japan, Licensing Expo China, the Brand & Licensing Innovation Summit EU and NY, License Global magazine and License Global Daily eNews.

The Account Manager will be primarily responsible for selling and managing specific growth areas within the Global Licensing Group, from in-person and virtual events to print and digital media via contacting new and existing prospects as well as current customers within his/her set categories. This position will involve a combination of internal and external sales activity, meeting customers face to face, and attending shows. This individual will have full accountability for a yearly sales target and will manage that number throughout the year to ensure his/her sales goals are met. Performance will be evaluated based on retention and growth of territory as well as customer service skills and administrative duties.


  • Strategically manage and further develop relationships in a specific territory
  • Prospect, generate, and seek new business opportunities inside and outside of existing client base through cold calling, research, follow-up contact, and attendance at industry-related events while meeting and exceeding budgeted sales goals
  • Develop sales plans, inclusive of pricing strategies, and approaches to grow existing customer accounts through cross and up-selling
  • Build industry-specific and product knowledge, reading industry research
  • Manage territory and pipeline utilizing, with strong organizational and planning skills to accomplish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives
  • Create custom proposals and PowerPoint presentations combining client and market-focused data with creative solutions to meet clients’ objective

  • 5-7 years experience selling to small and large accounts using a consultative selling process
  • Must be located in NY/NJ/CT
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue goals.
  • Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, and moving opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Ability to take initiative in identifying, addressing, and resolving day to day issues and challenges
  • Knowledge of or similar CRM
  • Prior experience selling exhibit space, media, and/or brand licensing programs a plus
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high level of passion and enthusiasm for the job
  • Up to 20% travel
  • Can work remotely but will need to be within 1 hr train ride of NYC
