Work shift (days/times) Mon-Fri, 8:00 4:30 (day shift)

A brief overview of your facility and what you produce- Role will provide manufacturing engineering support for the Electric Ave X-Ray Tubes facility. The candidate will lead a variety of product quality projects ranging from product design changes, process development/stabilization, and new equipment design. Candidates with experience in process intensive manufacturing (examples: brazing, casting, welding, measurement, machining, and test) or equipment design/controls engineering are preferred.
Screenings will be Initially on screen on teams and then onsite visit if local.
Role Summary:
Role will provide manufacturing engineering support for the Electric Ave X-Ray Tubes facility. The candidate will lead a variety of product quality projects ranging from product design changes, process development/stabilization, and new equipment design. Candidates with experience in process intensive manufacturing (examples: brazing, casting, welding, measurement, machining, and test) or equipment design/controls engineering are preferred.
Responsibilities:
Ensure early focus on manufacturability in product design and/or Advanced Technology programs. Drive rigor in process capability assessment, process layout, tooling and equipment development
Work with manufacturing to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.
Identify and deploy breakthrough technologies that can be leveraged to reduce lead time, improve quality, or reduce cost.
Monitor and improve productivity using Lean, Six Sigma, Brilliant Factory, or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are met with quality product.
Support AME initiatives with wide business impact and ensure best practice sharing across the Global Supply Chain
Ensure regulatory compliance through Qualification & Validation. Responsible for ensuring rigor in determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution and final analysis and acceptance
Qualifications:
1. B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Material Science.
Desired Characteristics:
1. 6-sigma DMAIC & DFSS certified
2. Experiences in process intensive manufacturing, including: machining, brazing, welding, cleaning, measurement, and test equipment.
3. Experience developing engineering or manufacturing test equipment.
4. Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills
5. Ability to work independently
6. Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization
7. Ability to identify and implement Best Practices
8. Product and Process Development experience
9. Solid working knowledge of GEHC quality management system
10. Experienced developing tools and processes
11. Demonstrated program or project management skills
12. Demonstrated experience owning production processes while growing capability in yield and quality
13. Experience working with global teams
Other:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type / position.
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
