Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - NICU
Under the general supervision of the Transport Team Medical Director and Director of Nursing for Women’s Services and according to hospital policies and procedures, the Transport Nurse participates as a member of the Maternal Transport Team in the identification, assessment, stabilization and transport of the high risk mother.
Knowledge & Skills: RN Registered Nurse NICU
Must be able to demonstrate understanding of hospitals “Patients First” safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures. Works autonomously, sets priorities and makes independent decisions of a complex nature. Interfaces directly with public, physicians, staff, patients, administration and ancillary/support department representatives. Maintains confidentiality of patient’s medical records. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Education: RN Registered Nurse NICU
Required: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree
Experience: RN Registered Nurse NICU
1-2 years of Level III NICU experienceLicense/Certification: RN Registered Nurse NICU
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma; Current BLS, NRP, ACLS and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
