Innovation Lab: (Mad) Scientist

Who You Are:

You have a PhD and an intellect that is mixed with equal parts creativity and innovation. You spend a lot of time asking, “what if?” questions about things you see as you go about your day.

You should be the type of person that tinkers with things just to see how they work or how you could “fix” them. You may also have a unique ability to change the world around you through the sheer exertion of your will.

The bottom line: You think so far outside the box that other people sometimes wonder what planet you are from. Our labs are innovation incubators where you can work with other brilliant scientists to answer questions our customers have not yet even thought of answering.

What You Will Do:

This is where it gets tricky. You are an inventor and a creator so throwing up boundaries from the start could severely limit your ability to innovate. Generally, you will be doing exploratory work in support of our overall corporate strategy.

In addition, you will be a sounding board for new ideas from people across the company. You are the focal point for the creativity that flows from our customers, the leadership team, our Code Ninjas, the Architects, and the Wizards.

To work in our innovation labs you must have:

• STEM PhD
• The ability to see and assess multiple perspectives before acting
• The desire to work on projects with no clear goal
• A willingness to informally mentor any junior staff assigned to your projects

The Fine Print / Security Clearance Requirements:

• Preferred – TS/SCI
• Nice to Have – Secret
• Acceptable – Uncleared but eligible for a clearance
