Job Summary: IMS is seeking an experienced HR Generalist who has a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding and employee compensation to evaluation. As the HR Generalist you will be required to undertake a wide range of tasks, like organizing trainings, administering employee benefits and leaves, and helping to craft HR policies. You are responsible for ensuring all employee records are up-to-date and confidential and act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics. Job Duties: The HR Generalist is responsible for making sure that employees follow all company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for creating new onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees about their rights and ensure that the HR department’s operations are running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to our organization. You will review employee feedback, strategize with leadership about HR programs that benefit workplace culture, and create job posts based on the company’s hiring needs. Additional Duties and Responsibilities (List Not All Inclusive): Administer compensation and benefit plans Assist with Payroll tasks (employee data entry at hire; monitoring and/or entering time and attendance of some personnel) Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips and warning letters Create a recruitment plan and calendar according to operation projections Manage and update onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and help to resolve any issues that may arise Recommend appropriate disciplinary action for employees who violate rules and regulations and acknowledge employee grievances/concerns Meet with employees and their managers to discuss workplace incidents and assist in identifying/determining a plan of action going forward Assist management with evaluating employee performance Promote HR programs that help create an efficient and conflict-free workplace Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies Undertake tasks around performance management Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form Assist with enhancing job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits, and organizing team building activities Ensure compliance with labor regulations Stay abreast of hiring and retention trends with a focus on meeting company goals Skills / Qualifications: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and people skills Proven advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software Proven experience and expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook Calendar, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking Leadership and coaching skills Strong empathy and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Attention to detail and analytically driven Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team Ability to research and apply ever-evolving employment/labor laws Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach Collaborative problem-solving and working style to drive change through influence Self-Starter with a “can-do” spirit Able to self-manage progress against milestones and deliverables with a high degree of ownership and accountability US citizenship is mandatory Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret Security Clearance, if required Education / Experience: BA/BS in Human Resources, Administration or related field required MA in Human Resource Administration, Human Resource Management, or Business Administration (preferred) Note: All degrees must be from an accredited college/university. 6-10 years’ Human Resource experience required Prior experience as an HR Assistant, Generalist or Supervisor (preferred) Additional HR training is a plus HR Certifications a plus (i.e., SHRM) and/or Advanced certification, such as Professional (PHR), Senior Professional (SPHR) or Global Professional (GPHR) in Human Resources.
