Job Description
Infina is seeking an Aerospace Safety Engineer to provide program management support to the improvement of the analysis, design, development, administration, implementation, and evaluation of the training program for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Aircraft Certification Services (AIR).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of training materials by providing expertise in the area of the actual issuance of airworthiness certificates
- Responsible for managing programs leading to the issuance of original airworthiness certificates or original export airworthiness approvals for products and articles to ensure training materials are technically accurate
- Act as the designer in applying and providing regulatory oversight in engineering concepts to aircraft electrical systems/avionics
- Evaluate aircraft designs and modifications
- Responsible for aircraft research, design, production, and maintenance
Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor's degree in a related field
- Must have at least a minimum of (ten) 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Prior experience supporting the FAA or aviation industry
- Advanced knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, theories, and concepts
- Technical knowledge and experience with 14 CFR parts pertaining to aircraft certification, including but not limited to parts 21, 23, 25, and 27
- Possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
