Production Manager

We are a global pharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures and markets generic and branded prescription pharmaceuticals. We specialize in difficult-to-manufacture sterile and non-sterile dosage forms and provide a robust and continuous pipeline of new products. We are seeking a Production Manager that will manage the sterile solutions manufacturing operations to include scheduling and supporting the areas of formulation, glassware preparation, equipment preparation, aseptic filling, lyophilization, and product sterilization for all of the manufacturing operations. Duties will include:

  • Develop, implement and monitor program for evaluation of labor hours per batch, yield, glass prep and filling losses, equipment function / repair, etc.
  • Interacts with the Master Scheduling Coordinator on scheduling of the manufacturing of all products.
  • Evaluation of operational efficiencies and cGMP compliance. Recommendation, purchase and validation of new equipment purchases to increase efficiencies and meet cGMP’s.
  • Evaluation and purchase of production supplies and suppliers.
  • Manage manufacturing personnel required to support aseptic filling suites during assigned shift.
  • Writing, reviewing and/or approving Departmental Standard Operating Procedures, Master Batch Records and Validation Protocols.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, reviewing, recommending salary adjustments and issuing disciplinary action, as necessary, for all manufacturing personnel.
  • The performance and supervision of maintenance activities performed in the aseptic suites and controlled areas; i.e., integrity and flow testing of all HEPA filters, preventative maintenance on equipment, etc.
  • Interaction with Regulatory Agencies (FDA, DEA, OSHA) and contract clients.
  • Developing and maintaining the manufacturing operational and capital budget.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
