Indian Impacted Schools of Montana (IISM) – Executive Director
Position: Executive Director for Indian Impacted Schools of Montana - IISM
Type: Position for 2020-2021 School Year, supervised by IISM Board of Directors
Eligibility: Must have first-hand knowledge of IMPACT AID and Education in Montana.
Duties: Conduct Impact Aid workshops for membership, MIEA, MCEL, ISBC, MTSBA, SAM and upon request, guide districts with their Impact Aid applications, assist/write/edit construction grants for districts, set up membership and board meetings, attend NAFIS meetings, lobby for Impact Aid at state and national level, set up Legislative office visits, prepare IISM information and Impact Aid for legislative meetings, maintain website, prepare annual budget, calculate dues, send out invoices to member schools, deposits, maintain account, pay monthly and quarterly bills, work with the IISM board, actively be committed to promoting the goals of IISM, provide positive public relations in a timely manner on behalf of members, school districts, and Indian education through media, maintain and publish position statements and resolutions, notify board of directors, affiliate officers and/or membership of legislative proposals, or concerns, provide regular communication/correspondence at least once a month to enable Board members to be apprised of developments that may affect the functioning of the organization, and perform all duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Required: Extensive knowledge of Impact Aid [Section 7002, 7003, 7003 (d), 7007, 7008] and education in Montana.
