JOB TITLE: Senior Systems Administrator

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: VP of IT

EXEMPTION STATUS: EXEMPT

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for providing support and training to employees on systems. This position will validate systems while maintaining controls, security, and consistency in system processes. The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for application administration for Okta, Azure AD, Office 365, Box, Asana, JAMF, and other systems. The Senior System Administrator will implement and maintain all cloud-based applications and SSO integrations. The Senior System Administrator will also assist in the development and management of project plans for system upgrades and ongoing implementations. This position will also act as backup for other Information Technology positions when needed.

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities include:

Systems Administration/Support
  • Implement, scale, and manage all physical, virtual, and SaaS-based systems and infrastructure
  • Implement, scale, and manage enterprise storage solutions
  • Maintain security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Perform regular security tests and security monitoring
  • In conjunction with other IT staff, streamline the computer deployment process using technologies such as JAMF and Prey
  • Streamline the account provisioning process using Okta
  • Automate routine tasks and maintenance using PowerShell, Power Automate, or other scripting and API technologies
  • DNS and Domain Management
  • Mentor and train junior administrators and support staff when appropriate

Project Management
  • Work directly with employees to support, drive, and coordinate larger/more complex projects
  • Collaborate with external consulting partners on larger strategic projects as a project member and inform of best practices
  • Manage multiple streams of work, actively communicating progress, roadblocks, and next steps, as well as follow best practices for testing, development, deployment, and implementation.

Systems Training
  • Provide new hire and ongoing systems training and materials for users (Okta, MS Office, Asana, Box, etc.)

Other Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Desktop Support Technician to assure IT-related issues are being addressed and solved in a timely, professional manner
  • Work with Desktop Support Technician to assure rental equipment is maintained and rental process is being adhered
  • Duties and projects as assigned by VP of IT

Required Qualifications/Experience
  • Experience in creating training materials and performing training for employees and groups
  • Experience in documentation and creation of runbooks
  • Experience in system administration (Okta, O365, Azure AD, Box, and other SaaS systems)
  • Experience implementing, documenting, and fostering the adoption of IAM principles and technologies, e.g., Okta, Active Directory, Azure AD, Azure AD Applications, OAuth, SAML
  • Experience with automation technologies
  • Experience with AV and IDP technologies
  • Exceptional systematic troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with MDM Solutions for PC and MAC
  • Experience with Ticketing Systems
  • Ability to think independently and to present information in a conceptual, persuasive, understandable manner
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking structure, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Person of high ethics and integrity and uses good judgement
  • Ability to translate business workflows and requirements into technical solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment

HOURS: Normal office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (40 hours per week).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to perform job duties that may include an average amount of lifting (+ or - 25lbs.), sitting, bending, stooping and standing is required. COVID-19 vaccination required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Minimal travel is associated with this position. Travel for InVision-related business is reimbursable at the amount allotted under state & federal guidelines.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in technology or equivalent experience. Minimum 10 years of experience in technology. Strong functional knowledge of core business processes.

SALARY: The salary range for this role is from $85,000.00 to $130,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. This role may also be eligible for additional compensation. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, which if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for benefits including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
