Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect/process blood and urine samples as well as other specimens according to all regulations and protocol requirements.
  • Perform ECG and Vital Signs as required by study specific protocol(s).
  • Perform drug/cotinine screen and alcohol test as well as urine pregnancy test as required.
  • Obtain body measurements, including height and body weight, and calculate Body Mass Index (BMI).
  • Proper collecting, handling, and processing of PK samples.
  • Process and ship lab samples.
  • Assist with receipt and inspection of raw materials, lab ordering and stocking, as requested.
  • Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintenance of all clean rooms and equipment.
  • Adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), International Air Transportation Association (IATA) Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, legible and timely data collection and entry.
  • Document all correspondence and communication pertinent to the research.
  • Review study protocol and participate in the protocol training prior to performing any study related activities.
  • Perform screening reception duties as required, including but not limited to ID verification, recording of demographic information.
  • Perform data review of the source and/or other related documents as required.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with PI, other site personnel, research participants, and the study sponsor.
  • Perform any other duties as required by Principal Investigator (PI) / Sub-Investigator, and Management.

Qualifications:

  • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) highly preferred
  • CPR & First Aid certification preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Demonstrate competence in oral and written communication
  • Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, friendly and professional demeanor
  • Must be flexible with changing priorities and able to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner
  • Computer skills including at least intermediate level experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office Software
  • Strong data management and processing skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and abbreviations

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience:

  • Phlebotomy: 2 year (Preferred)
  • Clinical Research: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Biomedical or research laboratory: 1 year (Preferred)

License:

  • Phlebotomy (Preferred)
  • CPR & First Aid (Preferred)

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
