Job Description

2nd Shift CNC Machinist/PROGRAMMER
Milwaukee
Job Responsibilities:

  • Program, Set-up, and operate Haas CNC equipment including mills and turning centers when performing tight tolerance machining
  • Use standard measurement instruments to perform quality control checks on parts in-process and upon completion
  • Operate a variety of manual machine tools when needed
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner
  • Exercise care and safe work practices
  • Work with others at IPM and with our customers to adapt to changing technical and logistical requirements
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Minimum of five years of experience with CNC set-up, operations, and programming; or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Must be able to read and understand complex blueprints and make own set ups from drawings
  • Experience using Solidworks and/or Mastercam
  • Able to work well on your own with limited staff on 2nd shift
  • Strong machining skills and programming knowledge required for this position/shift Valid driver’s license is required
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and ongoing drug screening is required

This is a 2nd Shift position, Monday-Friday. We are currently on a flex schedule, working 9 hours M-TH, and a shorter, 4 hour day, on Friday, with Overtime available. Pay is based on experience.
