The Teacher is responsible for the promotion of activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for early childhood development and ensuring the highest standard of care are met for children in line with agency, local, state, and national standards. The Teacher position requires the individual to participate as a transdisciplinary team member in the promotion of activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for early childhood development and is responsible for instruction, management, oversight, and on-going development of programs operated by Imua Family Services. The primary responsibility will be to conduct services while complying with Federal, State, and program policies and procedures that are set within the program. Reports to the Managing Director of Clinical Services.

Exceptions to these qualifications based on combination of education and experience requirements may be approved by the Executive Director upon receipt of approval by the appropriate State of Hawaii agency.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field from an accredited college/university
- Pediatric experience with the birth to age six population is preferred

Skills:
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Able to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and multi-task
- Desire to work for/with fast paced individual
- Basic computer knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Software, including the ability to save files and work with Word
- Clinical residence-a temporary housing option for therapists newly relocating to Maui while they look for a permanent home. This can help with a more immediate relocation, less stress to find immediate housing, more affordable relocation costs and an opportunity to learn the island geography before committing to housing.
