Job Description

Imagine One is currently seeking a wide range of candidates for “contingent” openings. We are looking for a Project Manager / Senior Operations Engineer to provide engineering expertise and management support services. Job duties include:

  • Manages an Enterprise Operations Organization that includes system administrators, network engineers, Cyber Security Engineers, Service Desk, installers, and various other IT Infrastructure support personnel.
  • Management of network designs, installations, implementation of ITIL standards, and conversion and migration methodologies to enhanced network technologies
  • Resolving complex IT, network, and cybersecurity problems that impact system availability
  • Monitoring network performance and recommending improvements
  • Familiar and understand hardware and software requirements and installations. Must have technical familiarity with most of the following Windows Server 2012/2019; VMware vSphere 6.5; Windows 10; Redhat 6 and 7; Cisco switches to include Nexus, routers, ASA 5500-X series firewalls; FirePOWER 8000 series Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS); Identity Services Engine (ISE); Secure Access Control System (ACS).
  • Planning and directing IT Operations
  • Determining resource requirement and costs
  • Preparing schedules
  • Monitoring progress of task and preparing progress reports
  • Reviewing IT HW and SW products before they are delivered
  • Communicating with all levels of management orally and in writing
  • Able to manage IT1 Privilege Access and IAM/IAT II staff based on the new Cyber Security Work Force Requirements.


Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of combined experience in computer and/or networking project management.
  • Experience supporting Local Area Networks (LAN) and systems including switches, routers, Ethernet (10BaseT and Gigabit), fiber optics, wireless networking, firewalls, and client/host configurations.
  • Experience with Windows/Linux servers trouble shooting, testing, and repair.


Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate degree (Master’s or above) in computer engineering, electrical engineering, communications management, computer science, information technology, or communications systems.
  • In lieu of the graduate degree, one of the following certifications may be substituted:
    • CNSSI 4012-4016 Certificate;
    • NDU CIO Certificate;
    • CISSP;
    • CISM;
    • GSLC;
    • CASP;
    • CCISO; or
    • PgMP.


Security Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

C4ISR support include technical and engineering support such as: analysis of technical initiatives and new concepts for further exploration; research and preparation of new technologies; technical analysis support and reports on C4ISR architecture tools used to assess and verify demonstrations, tests and exercises; system software analyses, design, installation, testing and independent evaluation and assessments, and software upgrades.

For the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) test and evaluation (T&E) Support Services delivery order, Imagine One supports several SSC-LANT Program Managers with specialized requirements engineering, analysis, and tracking services. Imagine One worked with the customer to strategically plan how proven USMC T&E processes could be automated using the IBM Rational suite of tools to meet or exceed the overall T&E program vision and mission, and customer expectations.
