You will be responsible for the design of mechanical parts, assemblies, or systems that move materials. Experience working in the design of complex systems and subsystems such as in vehicles or industrial machinery could be a suitable fit. Aerospace experience is a plus.
Will be responsible for design, development and test of parts and assemblies. Should have experience with structural and stress analysis using hand calculations. Create manufacturing drawings, taking into account customer requirements, manufacturability concerns, and material costs. Design tests to qualify products according to customer specifications. Will create product models using 3D CAD.
Respond to root cause analysis requests. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using a hands-on approach. Will review and address engineering change orders.
Minimum of a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Masters degree preferred plus at least three years’ experience in mechanical engineering design work. Degrees in Aerospace Engineering or similar are welcome. Should have experience in thermal, load, and stress analysis of assemblies, and working with 3D CAD software like Solidworks. Should have experience creating tolerance analysis for large assemblies.
