The Product Design Specialist is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Design Specialist's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to conceptualize, document, design and develop new features and enhancements.
Create medium-fidelity mockups and work with engineers and product managers to oversee UI design implementation, while also serving as an advocate for design in strategic product decisions.
Deliver product specification documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
Work with customers, account management, and engineering teams to determine product requirements, viability, and implementation approaches.
Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples.
Assure that completed changes and features conform to the original specifications.
Be an expert with respect to the competition in K12 assessment and data reporting platforms.
Support the go-to-market strategy for respective products, working with all departments for execution.
Desired Qualifications & Requirements
0-2 years experience as a Product Specialist, Analyst or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Technical background, with experience in web technologies.
Excellent teamwork skills.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Examples and at least one sample of an effective product or module delivered in the past.
Support the company's overall strategy and goals.
Creative mind on product design and specifications.
Experience using productivity and design applications (especially Figma or Sketch) to create narrative and graphic elements (mock-ups) for specifications.
Quantitative skills (statistics, algebra preferred).
