Mortgage Compliance Analyst

Under the direction of the Head of Compliance, the Mortgage Compliance Analyst is responsible for establishing and maintaining loan compliance and adhering to a standard of loan quality for all types of real estate loans at the Credit Union. This position is responsible for pre and post close file reviews and overall quality control. This position is responsible for keeping informed on industry trends, best practices, staying up to date on underwriting guidelines, and troubleshooting on loan repurchases, and third party audits. This person must effectively carry out the essential duties of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates the core values of the organization in a positive manner.

+ Establishing and managing mortgage loan quality standards
+ Pre-close file review
+ Post-close quality control review
+ Manage third-party relationships for post-close quality control process
+ Third-party file review and audit support
+ Troubleshooting on loan repurchases
+ Conduct discretionary audits
+ Conduct vendor audits
+ Conduct Fannie Mae required Targeted Audits
+ Conduct FHA First Payment Default Audits
+ Maintain and update internal quality control procedures
+ Complete reports for Head of Compliance and Executive Management
+ Manage audit exception correction follow-up program
+ Other projects and duties as assigned

At minimum of two years of mortgage underwriting experience. Bachelor's degree and previous management experience preferred. Excellent math skills and computer knowledge. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ten key, data entry, and typing experience. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records at all times. A demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union staff. Dedicated to serving our internal team members and holding team accountable for the Credit Union's service standard. Be able to diagnose and solve complex problems. Professional appearance, and dependable with attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed. Must comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.
Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.). Sit for extended periods of time. Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers. Reach keyboards. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
Must be eligible for membership at Idaho Central Credit Union to obtain employment.
