The company was founded in 2001 and reignited in 2022, and currently manages several communities in Puerto Rico. Our offices are in Santurce, and we have an administrative and supervisory staff with vast experience in this industry.

Job Summary:

Icon Management is looking for an experienced Property Project Manager to oversees different projects for an exciting portfolio of properties managed by Icon. As a Property Project Manager, this position will ensure the effective project management of allocated new build, refurbishment and construction projects through design, development and implementation stages to the requisite time, cost and quality parameters in keeping with Icon aspirations and standards related to property management.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years’ experience in managing private estates or luxury residential/hospitality portfolio preferably as well as experience leading construction projects that requires the assembling and managing of contractors, designers, and engineers. Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and implementing safe working environment/procedures for engineering personnel as well as knowledge and experience of implementing preventive maintenance programs for the engineering department is also crucial, as well as prior experience working with high profile clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Although the day to day of the Property Project Manager may vary, these are the key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project

• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements

• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities

• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations

• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met

• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies if applicable

• Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities

• Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed

• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports

• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Education:

• Proven experience as construction or property project manager

• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles

• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Familiarity with construction/ project management software

• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• A team player with leadership abilities

• BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field

• PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage

• Required to travel to 75%.
