Job Description: The BSA I is a crucial and essential peer to the Prepress Designers and in particular, the Sr. Developer(s) and/or the Prepress Architect(s). This person is very comfortable with the concepts of development, programming, and can help the designers to shape their code and processes to meet the needs of the client, the needs of our operation, and ensure that the team is on track to push that custom development down to the Production Operations teams.
Job Responsibilities • Responsible for consulting with internal stakeholders as it pertains to development and deployments. As well as provide information, knowledge and expertise regarding Prepress processes. • Engage with specific project initiatives for long periods of time while ensuring that department managers are informed and engaged with overall status. • Take a global and comprehensive view of the risks and challenges with any request or initiative and document and mobilize remediation plans. • Manages document development and creation from end to end, covering functional and technical requirements. • Analyze workload and communicate concerns, complexities, and bottlenecks to team members and stakeholders to ensure possible risks to the relevant timelines are understood as early as possible. • Carefully maintain and manage version control and procedural procedures for the purposes of ensuring quality. • Habitually document and detail steps taken to develop work and can readily share detailed information with team members in a formalized fashion regarding functional or technical decisions. • Responsible for understanding the capabilities of Epiq’s Print/Mail solution, and regularly seeks opportunities to advise or steer our clients in the direction that’s most supportable for them and us.
Additional Qualifications • Additional coding or technical software experience a plus. This can include: o VSTS o Jira/Confluence o SQL o Access
