Ice-O-Matic is a leading manufacturer of commercial ice machines and ice storage bins for the food service industry around the world. Ice-O-Matic serves a variety of industry segments including health care, education, hotels, convenience stores, restaurants and bars, office and work place. Ice-O-Matic’s line of products can cover any commercial ice need. Ice-O-Matic is looking for energetic and engaged people to participate in the world growth of our ice machine manufacturing company.

Position Summary
Ice-O-Matic is seeking a detail oriented, reliable and dependable Customer Service Representative to join our Customer Service team. Under general supervision of the Customer Service Manager, provides customer service support via phone and email to internal and external customers through open and interactive communication. Interacts with all departments to resolve requests and issues.

Essential Duties
Responsible for general phone calls and emails regarding product information, warranty and providing direction for service questions. Responsible for assigned accounts to domestic/international customers. Answers customer calls/emails, customer requests. Order entry processing, tracking, expediting orders and returns. Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders and carriers to ensure timely processing of international orders. Prepares shipment documentation and other regulatory paperwork required for international shipping. Processes Return Authorizations for damaged products, ensures timely resolutions and customer credits. Also provides support for Regional Managers.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • 1+ years customer service experience in a high volume, repetitive manufacturing environment
  • International shipping experience preferred
  • Associate degree or some college experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Skilled in planning and prioritizing workload to meet demands of daily customer requirements
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Strong computer skills and mathematical aptitude
  • Excellent human/customer relations skills
  • Proven ability to effectively deal with all levels of internal and external contacts
  • Thorough working knowledge of customer service field
  • Typing 50 wpm
  • Ability to handle different and specialized situations within department or functional area
  • Ability to make decisions within defined procedures; able to handle different and specialized situations in job
  • Ability to follow established priorities; expected to evaluate and respond to new situations requiring immediate attention
  • Able to communicate effectively including e-mails and letters to clearly outline company’s position
  • Intermediate ability with Microsoft Word and Excel
