We have launched two new software platforms this year and we are seeking a Digital Product Manager (all levels), to join our team. This role will report to the Director of Product Management. About the Role You will have direct access to end-users and stakeholders, and you are encouraged to build and leverage these relationships in your work. Candidate Location IZEA is headquartered in Orlando, Florida though the company is currently 100% remote due to COVID-19. Ideal candidates would be located in the Orlando area, or a short plane flight away. Candidates must be very comfortable with a remote workforce, as all engineering personnel are currently 100% remote and living in different cities. Primary ResponsibilitiesYou will...Communicate directly with customers and/or their managers to understand different user profiles, use cases, and product(s) requirements, and how these requirements can and be integrated with the overall IZEAx ecosystem and its workflows.Triage and prioritize initiatives with stakeholders, Customer Success, Design, Engineering, and QA such that user requirements, business impact, and implementation efforts are balanced and optimized. You’re responsible for maintaining your product roadmap and communicating frequent status updates to stakeholders. Define and execute an iterative implementation strategy with a minimally viable set of requirements and planned downstream features, with input from stakeholders, Customer Success, Design, Engineering, and QA.Define KPIs and data-driven strategies for tracking product success or failure with input from stakeholders.Manage and facilitate your team’s progress by clearing blockers, answering questions, making decisions, and maintaining status tracking efforts to ensure that work is progressing continually and on track with estimated delivery goals.Maintain open feedback loops with users, stakeholders, and C-level executives to communicate and demo progress, catch issues early, and ensure that efforts are advancing in line with expectations.Advocate for and champion your team by encouraging their shared ownership and understanding of the product(s) and their workflows, listening and considering bottom-up input, and sharing and celebrating successes.Continually identifying and proposing novel solutions to user friction points and opportunities for new features that delight and bring value to usersDefine and communicate product timelines and launch plans necessary to bring your product or feature(s) to market. Previous experience leading software teamsYour team will consist of software engineers, interface designers, and QA tests. Experience in guiding a cross-functional team to make and release great software is your day to day effort. Technical backgroundYou should have some technical software background, even if it’s simple HTML, as you will be working with software developers every day. You should be able to meet them where they are and challenge their assumptions. Passion for ProcessAnyone can get lucky once, but to consistently deliver quality software, the process is necessary. You should be invested in and understand the value of a good SDLC. Social Media & Content Marketing literate.This is our business! We are looking for people who are active on Social Media, understand Influencers, get why Content Marketing is important, and have a general background on the landscape. Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple incoming requests.IZEA's product team strives to provide a great experience to our users. In order to do that, you may need to context switch regularly or drop what you are doing to start work on something else. This is part of what Agile means to us. Knowledge of agile methodologies.IZEA’s product team uses elements of traditional agile methodologies to build and deliver our digital experiences. You should be familiar w/ and have exposure to agile development practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Regular and timely communication is the key to a remote based team. You should be able to simply and concisely ask for feedback and direction and relay requested information in a timely fashion to your leaders. Demonstrated experience with the following will be highly valued GitHubAll of IZEA's code is source controlled on Github. We leverage Github Pull Requests for code reviews, Github integrations manage parts of our CI/CD pipeline, and Github releases define the code tags that ultimately get deployed. Much of our process documentation exists on Github pages. Familiarity with navigating Github's features will help you ramp up in our SDLC faster. Atlassian Stack (JIRA/Confluence)IZEA uses JIRA to manage projects and report on progress to stakeholders inside and outside the company. While we strive to automate as much of JIRA as possible with bots, webhooks, and reports, understanding how JIRA issues, links, attachments, and workflows work will help you understand our SDLC faster. Continuous Integration & DeploymentIZEA needs to get features and fixes out to customers as soon as we possibly can with as much confidence as possible. To facilitate this, we have developed a CI/CD pipeline (using 3rd party services). An understanding of what CI/CD is will help you understand how this pipeline works and how to make it even better.
