Job Description:
  • The candidate should have experience in FactoryTalk Production Centre (FTPC) application development.
  • Experience on Manufacturing Execution System (MES) needed.
  • The candidate should be an experienced senior level developer with significant design, develop, support, configuration and implementation experience of FTPC projects.
  • The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience with full implementation and end- to-end project experience on MES.
  • The candidate should be experienced in Industrial Devices and Control Systems.
  • Experience in PLC / HMI programming needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • FTPC Application Development.
  • Gathering Functional Requirements and converting those to specific design documents.
  • Understanding Business processes and preparing applications and use cases for MES.
  • Install, configure, maintain and upgrade the MES software infrastructure.
  • Database Administration.
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring performance of applications.
  • Provide first-level technical support; assisting users/devices who have MES problems
  • Perform high level troubleshooting, diagnostics for MES problems.
  • Prepare FDS, FRS, Training documents, Test Cases, and User Acceptance.
  • Configure OPC layer, program PLCs and modify existing programs to be communicated with the MES layer.
  • Coordinate with team members to reduce technical complication sand collaborate on projects
  • The candidate must have a valid passport and should be able to move as per project requirements.
  • The candidate must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic Qualification:
  • Industry Background: Life Science; Food, Beverage, and Brewing; Automotive; Consumer Product Goods, Process, Chemical, FMCG.
  • Key Skillset: FTPC, Java, SQL Database, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), OPC, Enterprise Integration, Control System Integration, PLC programming, Machine Connectivity.
  • Experience of FactoryTalk Production Centre installation.
  • Experience in application development in FTPC.
  • Experience of documentation, Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Training, Test cases and User Acceptance documentations.
  • Experience in Database Administration and application development (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle).
  • Experience in Database creation, configuration for FTPC, User Defined Tables, Data Retrieval, SQL Bridge, Stored Procedures, function, triggers, views, scrips, SQL Query Optimization, Application Optimization and Performance Optimization etc.
  • Experience in OPC Connectivity and configurations. Connectivity to various PLCs, Shop floor devices, CNC machines, SQL Database connectivity and third-party production/database system.
  • Experience in Java, Javascript, CSS, HTML, bootstrap, .Net and Python.
  • Experience in FTTM, FT Live Data, FT Directory, FT Activation Manager, FT Linx, FT View, FT ViewPoint, EIG, FactoryTalk Vantage Point, FT Logix Designer, RSLogix and RSLinx.
  • Experience in Reports development, front-end design, back-end design and connectivity.
  • Experience in the development of Dashboards and Management Reports.
  • Experience in Network protocols, basic Network Design, Ethernet/IP, CIP, Profinet/Profibus, serial and Modbus.
  • MES Server Setup, configurations, application installation, FactoryTalk Directory configurations, SAP Connectivity, Services Setup, IIS configurations, SMTP and OPC configurations.
  • Experienced in Unit testing, Functional, Integration, Load, Exceptional and end-to-end testing and documentations.
  • Creation and delivery of training materials and support to staff on customer sites.
  • Responsible for the regular back up and restoration of all critical assets
  • Understanding of how typical Process and Discrete industries work.
  • Experience in end-to-end implementation of FTPC MES in at least one site.
  • Creation, management and maintenance of database.
  • Understanding Process Flow, SDLC, Hardware Installation and SAP Transactions.
  • Understanding of security systems, anti-virus, firewall configurations, port settings and Active Directory configurations, in line with internal guidelines and industry best practices.
