Field Technician Needed

Well established company, in business for over 40 years currently enjoying growth as a leader in our industry. Looking for Field Service Technician with a great attitude and exceptional customer service skills. Computer Service Company that provides professional technology, general business, operational support and legendary customer service is looking for a self-motivated, problem solving, knowledgeable and professional IT Field Technician to support customer base in the Jacksonville and surrounding areas.

Description of Duties:

Provide customer with a positive experience in performing technical services.

Update trouble tickets in the automated ticketing system, and implement resolution of tickets through closure and recording of closure.

Provide on-site and remote diagnostic evaluations, implementation of corrections, and training of users in proper operation of systems and programs.

Perform remedial maintenance, upgrades and preventive maintenance of Servers, Desktops, Laptops, Printers and other networking hardware.

Perform structure cabling – CAT 6

Diagnose and remove mal-ware from affected computers.

Support user requests for assistance.

Support installation and provide basic support for approved PC software.

Document all work accomplished on-site and remotely.

Communicate with vendors to provide technical support for managed services.

Changing priorities place unusual demands on controlling workflow.

Minimum Requirements

  • Positive attitude

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Motivated self-starter!

  • Desktop operating systems: (Windows is required, Mac is a plus)

  • Experience providing customer support for client/server application software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a collaborative team environment consisting of customers, technicians and managers.

  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to prioritize issues as well as the ability to respond quickly, accurately and courteously to inquiries.

  • The candidate must be able to adjust priorities and schedules to respond to customer requests. Have the ability to occasionally travel overnight to customer job sites. Pass a criminal and security background check and a drug screening.

  • Work related references (min. of three) are required; all must be within the past 10 years

  • A+ is a requirement

  • Need to have reliable transportation


    Certifications

    OEM Certifications – Dell, Lenovo, HP, Samsung, Lexmark

  • Additional Certification not needed but a Plus (Network+, Server+, Security+, MCP, MCSE, MCSD, MCDST, MCSA, CNE, CCNA, CCDA)
