Island’s Account Executive will be responsible for signing new dispensary partner relationships throughout the Sacramento area. Successful candidates will have previous outside sales or brand ambassador experience and understand the full sales cycle process (prospecting to close). Those with experience in wine, spirits, pharmaceuticals, and/or cannabis are a strong plus!
You will focus on opening new doors throughout retail locations to ensure the ISLAND brand is represented in the Sacramento market. Strong prospecting (call, email, onsite visits) and closing skills required. The ideal candidate is outgoing, sharp, and hungry to close accounts in the fast-growing cannabis industry.
Understand, embrace, and embody the ISLAND culture
Be an expert and evangelist for ISLAND’s product suite
Prospect cold and warm leads, move prospective partners through the sales pipeline
Responsible for hitting quarterly sales KPI metrics
Leverage partner and distributor relationships to open new accounts
Work directly with sales leadership and regional brand ambassadors to ensure sold accounts are supported and consistently replenished with ISLAND product
Develop strong relationships with owners, buyers, managers, and other dispensary staff
Maintain activity records in LeafLink, our customer and order management database
Monitor territory and other brands' pricing, field activities, trends, and products
Work cross-functionally with the retail acquisition team members and account managers
Visit our Oakland facility to replenish product
Minimum two years of outside sales or sales experience
You can work autonomously and are self-motivated
Strong presentation skills with the ability to plan, attend and coordinate client meetings
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills - you make a strong first impression!
Proven track record of substantial client growth and acquisition
Technical aptitude (i.e, web-based applications, eCommerce, digital marketing and database management)
Cannabis product and industry expertise a plus
- 21 years of age
CA Driver’s License, good driving record
