Job Description

THE POSITION

As a member of our inside sales team, you will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining existing customers in your assigned market. The position will call on OEMs, contractors, and end users of electrical enclosure climate control and related products. The position is 100% inside with no travel.

 

COMPENSATION

  • At forecast, your first-year compensation ($45K base pay + commission + bonus) is $65,000 with no cap on earnings
  • Total compensation will grow over the next few years as you build your territory

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make a high volume of outgoing and inbound phone calls and emails daily
  • Generate leads and follow up on those leads
  • Serve as a product expert to your accounts
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence
  • Manage hundreds of accounts through our defined sales process
  • Hunt (gain new customers through cold calls and networking) as well as Farm (develop existing customer relationships) to develop your pipeline and convert to sales
  • Update CRM used to track all calls, appointments, and activities, and keep customer contact information up to date
  • Prospect leads through outbound communication (phone and emails)

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 1 year of sales experience and a strong work ethic
  • Thorough understanding of the sales cycle
  • Sales experience a must, HVAC, or industrial product experience a plus
  • STRONG communication skills; including interpersonal skills to collaborate with other departments in the company, such as marketing and client relations
  • Experience with CRM software, such as Goldmine, Salesforce, HubSpot, ZOHO, etc.
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
  • Excellent listening and communication skills to capture and address customer needs
  • HVAC industry experience is a strong plus
