THIS POSITION IS APPROXIMATELY 40 HOURS/WEEK with rotating shifts during our practice hours of 8-6 Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays. In accordance with workflow, there is some flexibility in shifts and days off as determined by the owner.
Role, Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Human resources experience in hiring, training, supervision, and performance reviews
Compliant in following policies and procedures
Skill in using healthcare software and computer systems
Able to take direction from multiple practitioners and staff members
Professional communication and presentation skills, including face to face, email, telephone, and video conference.
Provides exceptional customer care by placing patient and visitor needs as top priority.
Designated HIPAA officer and oversee compliance with required HIPAA, safety and other workplace training
Contributes to the overall success of the practice.
Willingness to go above and beyond to help other members of our team and do what it takes to meet our practice goals.
Performs opening and closing duties as needed when admin team members are not in the office.
Ability to communicate professionally with clinicians, nurses, health staff, administrative staff, contractors, governmental agencies, insurance payers, patients, family members of patients, suppliers, and the general public of all age levels from child to senior citizen.
Knowledge and expertise in all aspects of billing.
Enter charges and create claims to bill to insurance.
Answer patient questions in regards to billing, insurance and patient balances.
Knowledge of regulations related to Medicare and commercial insurance and compliance
Maintain strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other state/local laws and compliance
Knowledge of labor laws
Willingness to schedule, prepare for and hold regular meetings with multiple departments
Oversee and participate in marketing efforts
Responsible for accounts payable, budgeting and all financial reporting
Responsible for practitioner credentialing
Other Projects as assigned by Owner
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Minimum of 5 years in a medical office setting
2-3 years in a supervisory or management position
Willingness to be flexible and ability to grow and change as the practice continues to grow.
Must have excellent customer service skills and willingness to go above and beyond for the needs of our growing practice.
Demonstrated ability to establish positive patient rapport and build relationships.
Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the proven ability to manage priorities in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to multi-task, set priorities and ensure that patient and practice commitments/deadlines are met.
Proficiency in utilization of automated equipment and systems.
Basic skill level in Microsoft, Quickbooks, and Google Suites.
$55-60,000 starting salary (depending on experience)
