Under the direction of the Hi’ilei Director, the Data Specialist, will be responsible for all aspects of data collection and entry into databases utilized by the Hi’ilei program. Ensures accuracy of data recorded and performs database maintenance functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains complete documentation for all data sources documents.
Keep track of received data and source documents.
Prepare and sorts of source documents and identifies and interprets data to be entered.
Review and makes necessary corrections to information entered.
Comply, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered.
Assist in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient records management system.
Supports Director to generate reports and responds to inquiries regarding entered data as requested.
Contribute to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
Maintain confidential information.
Other duties as directed.
High School Diploma or GED and experience in data entry and databases.
Must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to work as part of a team.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions in verbal or written format.
Proficient with programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of databases, preferred.
Familiar with non-profit business operations.
Knowledge and sensitivity to the interests and needs of families in Native Hawaiian and/or poverty communities.
Essential Job Functions:
Sit for 6-8 hours at a time, kneeling, squatting, standing, and bending.
Lift up to 25 pounds.
Drive a vehicle.
Clean drivers abstract.
