We’re Ian Martin Group ( , and we’ve partnered with our client, a metal and mining company that has been exploring, developing mines, and producing for more than 50 years. They rely on their extensive experience, cutting-edge techniques, and innovation to extract uranium from deep in the ground and process the ore to produce uranium. What you’ll be doing As the new Process Engineer, you’ll be reporting to the Asset Reliability Engineering Supervisor. You’ll have the opportunity to advance a dynamic carbon reduction initiative with our client, a uranium processing plant in Northern Saskatchewan. You’ll have a blended role of developing the initiative, while also executing technical carbon reduction projects. Responsibilities: * Advance a holistic carbon reduction program * Lead energy/emission reduction working groups * Develop energy use and emissions baselines to measure initiative success * Develop and guide carbon reduction goals * Develop and oversee metrics to monitor the initiative success * Execute multidiscipline projects of small and medium scope in direct support of carbon reduction goals * Provide engineering expertise, oversight, coaching and guidance * Work with other disciplines, subject matter experts and operational personnel to solve problems and ensure quality objectives, schedules and budgets are maintained * Participate in the development of feasibility studies, value engineering and cost estimates to support carbon reduction goals The best in this role will not only come with strong technical and process skills but also have strong communication and interpersonal skills. The Details This is a full-time, permanent position located at the remote McClean Lake mine site in Northern Saskatchewan. You’ll work on a rotating schedule consisting of 14 days in and 14 days out rotating schedule. Normally an 11-hour workday, although some activities outside of normal working hours may be required. They provide fly-in fly-out pickups. Flights to McClean are coordinated from Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Camsell Portage, Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, and Wollaston. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in either Chemical, Process, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from a recognized university * Technologists with applicable industrial design experience will be considered * A minimum of 8 years of applicable work experience in process engineering in a mining, milling environment * Experience and knowledge of industrial processes and process equipment * Preference given to those with experience managing carbon reduction initiatives * Experience with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) is considered an asset * Knowledge of codes, standards and best engineering practices as applied to mining and milling applications is considered an asset * Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver and adapt clear messages to a diverse audience and team members is a must * Effective planning and organizational skills * Must be willing to pass a substance test, and physical as a condition of employment Your Application We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply.
