Weekend Pharmacy Technician

An independent long- term care pharmacy in Ocala, FL is searching for an honest, self-motivated individual with a positive and compassionate attitude for a part-time pharmacy technician position.

Desired Qualifications:

• This is a weekend position and candidates must have availability to work all weekends
• Excellent professionalism, written and verbal communication, and customer service skills
• Experience using the long-term care module of the RX30 pharmacy management software preferred
• 3+ years’ experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
• Current valid and clear state technician license
• Accurate at prescription filling and learns quickly from constructive feedback
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and easy to get along with
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable and has reliable transportation
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Essential Duties:

• Filling blister cards quickly and accurately
• Filing prescriptions and other documents into patient’s charts
• Assist with filling exchanges as needed
• Assists with special projects as needed
• Willingness to expand duties and cross train with other staff members as needed
• Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive and team-oriented approach
• Complies with all Company policies, including local, state and federal laws and regulations
• Efficiently maneuver through various computer systems
• Maintain ongoing communication and interaction with co-workers and management
• Ensure and maintain a safe and clean work environment
