Job Description


In this role, you will provide product integration activities and internal initiatives for one customer. You will work at a customer site in Reston, VA. Although this role reports into the Delivery organization, you will also provide technical support, presentations and consultation while teaming with the strategy, business development and research and development teams.

Many of our customers operate critical national infrastructure and you may be required to support customers on site and for extended or abnormal hours during various possible local, national or international emergencies and situations. Some examples are as follows, but not limited, social or political events and crisis, natural disasters, war, terrorist attacks, pandemics, and others.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering, design, implementation, and administration activities relevant to customer deployments of IDEMIA's Automated Biometric Identification Systems (ABIS) products.
  • Provide technical expertise with legacy on-premises software architectures and Cloud Migrations/Cloud-Native Service architectures.
  • Perform architecture/engineering, design, implementation, administration, and basic functional testing activities related to the IDEMIA NSS software development, system integration, and testing environments which may be physical or virtual.
  • Evaluate and execute assigned system integration change management tickets requiring proficient knowledge of and task execution in various tools and environments to include VMware, Linux, Linux shells & scripting languages, Microsoft Windows/Office, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, AWS, Azure, Openstack, VNC, Ansible, secure shell, and similar/related products to these.
  • Dynamically pursue assigned tasks with research into pertinent current and emerging technologies and best practice approaches.

Technical Expertise

  • Knowledge in VMware, Linux, Linux shells & scripting languages, Microsoft Windows/Office, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, AWS, Azure, Openstack, VNC, and other similar products.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of IT systems both physical and virtualized. Should encompass OS, TCP/IP networking, system security / access control, etc. via ansible, secure shell, SELinux, iptables, host-based firewalls, and similar tools.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and organizational skills. Practical knowledge of and experience employing sound system engineering principles and problem-solving technique.
  • Solid cloud engineering expertise/experience
  • Experience with MBSS/IDEMIA products would be ideal.
  • At least 12 years similar work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting a Linux environment as a system administrator
  • Must be a creative problem solver with excellent trouble-shooting skills; flexible, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing and exciting environment.

Education and Training

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related equivalent. Years of service may be substituted for Education.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or similar certification preferred

Other Requirements

  • Up to 25% travel may be required
  • Normal office working conditions and physical demands
  • Minimum active Top Secret SCI clearance
  • Ability to successfully achieve and retain a Top Secret Full Scope Polygraph
