What do we do?

ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time - even when it's cloudy or dark - providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

What are we looking for?

To support the company's growth, we continue to scale our U.S Team and are looking for a Civil Account Manager to join our global Sales Team. You will report to the Business Development Director in this position.

About the role?

We are seeking a Civil Account Manager to join our team in Washington D.C or Irvine, California. In this role you will build traction with US Civil agencies (federal and state) by demonstrating ICEYE's compelling value proposition and maintaining key relationships. Candidates should have basic business development experience, a working understanding of the Remote Sensing value chain, and an ability to foster rapport with organizations like NASA, NOAA, DHS/CBP, USGS, etc. Based in our Northern Virginia office but with work-from-home flexibility, the position will be supported by technical and business experts from across the ICEYE enterprise. Responsibilities
  • Alongside ICEYE Sales Directors, support program development and capture activities to meet revenue targets; facilitate proposal work and other activities related to customer acquisition cycles
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key Civil end users
  • Understand and communicate how ICEYE's offerings solve critical customer challenges, enable customers to meet objectives, and drive long term value to customer organizations
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure ICEYE exceeds customer expectations, meets commitments, and aligns to key milestones
  • Provide voice of the customer back to ICEYE internal teams to sharpen responsiveness and refine offerings
  • Field inquiries from potential Civil and Commercial customers on an ad hoc basis

Requirements

Required:
  • Experience in business development, account management, sales, or business capture
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills
  • Familiarity with modern presentation tools and techniques; comfort with technical presentations; ability to distill complex topics to readily-understood proposals delivered to individuals and groups, from senior decision makers to working level collaborators
  • Experience with geospatial products and services
  • Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
  • Ability to travel within the United States (up to 50%) and occasionally abroad
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business field

Preferred:
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and expand customer relationships resulting in revenue growth
  • Proactive, self-starter with ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects in a highly organized manner
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and convert those needs into mutual value
  • Experience working in a business development capacity with U.S. Civil end users
  • Direct experience with U.S. Government acquisition processes (i.e. FAR)
  • Strong presentation and technical writing skills, excellent communication skills
  • Active security clearance
  • Experience with remote sensing programs and/or products
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup/scaleup environment requiring agility, patience, and hands-on participation
