Seeking a pediatric clincial psychologist with a passion for leadership and innovation! ICAN is hiring a director of psych services! Director of Psychology As a part of the psychology services team, the primary responsibilities of the psychologist are assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care oversight for individuals suspected of autism and other mental health disorders. In this role, you are a part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the needs of patients seeking services. You are responsible for making recommendations not only for the care that can be provided at ICAN, but also refer to local resources that support all the individual's needs. Located in the beautiful city of Bellevue Washington, the ICAN team serves individuals with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders from birth to adult. Since 2008, the ICAN team of Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, BCBA's, ABA Technicians, Assistive Technology Specialists and a Nurse Practitioner has provided services to over 3,000 families. Director of Psychology- Summary of Main Responsibilities: Clinical intakes Diagnostic testing Clinical feedback and treatment planning Evidence based intervention Communication and coordination of care with internal and external team members Key Responsibilities: Conduct clinical intakes to determine appropriate assessments to conduct for diagnosis of developmental speech, occupational, physical and mental health conditions Conduct diagnosis assessments utilizing a battery of tools shown to be effective in determining diagnosis including but not limited to the ADOS Create extensive diagnostic reports for the patient that will be shared with the parents/caregivers as well as community providers that may be involved in care Collaborate with other professionals internally and externally to determine the appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan for each individual patient Consult with local physicians regarding patients Maintain licensure Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations Collaborate within the psychology services department Maintain billable expectation and productivity levels Prioritize and schedule work tasks independently Initiate corrective action in system changes/performance Verbalize an awareness of problem-solving dynamics and involve others in the problem-solving activities of the department Resolve conflict situations utilizing the problem-solving approach Maintain a system of verbal and/or written communication which assures upward, downward and lateral directions Manage inventory of therapeutic equipment and assessments, and forecast needs for budget Establish parameters to monitor productivity Monitor productivity and is knowledgeable regarding variances Monitor use of resources Maintain clinical and administrative records in accordance with professional standards Adhere to federal and state legislation, regulation, and policies that affect psychology practice Attend and represent ICAN at marketing events, on and off-site Is a steward of the organization Time Management & General Expectations: Prioritize and schedule work tasks independently Appropriately utilize and manages resources available Attention to detail Excellent communication skills Adhere to federal and state legislation, regulation and policies of ICAN Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organization's mission and values Act in the best interest of the clinic *Not all responsibilities may be present in this description and is subject to change based on business needs Skills & Qualifications: Teaches, monitors and collaborates with community agencies, parents, and others to increase understanding of current levels of development Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others Effective and efficient organization and time management skills Confident, independent thinker and strong decision-making ability Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment Required to be proficient in Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel) Professional Growth & Ethics: Participate in continuing education for professional development to ensure practices consistent with best practices and to meet Washington licensure requirements and associated professional licensure requirements Use professional literature, evidence-based research, and continuing education content to make practice decisions Use professional Code of Ethics and standards of practice to guide ethical decision making in practice Accountable for all aspects of fiscal management and outcomes for the Psychology Department resulting in attainment of business goals for the organization Direct the growth, development and maintenance of the Psychology Department's clinical programs in order to meet the needs of the client population and the business goals of the organization, utilizing your clinical support team Must display excellent interpersonal communication, initiative, creative planning and problem-solving skills Cooperate and function as part of a team, as well as be an effective team leader. Must have strong organization skills. Willing to accept change as beneficial to the organization and be an effective change agent for the organization Schedule and deploy clinical staff to meet facility program needs Directs the provision of quality patient care and provides patient care skills development opportunities as appropriate to ensure quality care in the facility and delivers patient care as required within scope of practice Ensure ICAN policies and procedures, and patient care standards are met Conduct routine clinical/compliance audits in assigned and adjacent areas as delegated Responsible for the review and analysis of the Psychology Department's contribution margin Direct development of plans of action and ensure good outcomes of deficiencies noted in routine clinical audits and/or compliance investigations Manage practice to meet or exceed financial objectives; participate in the development of financial goals Monitor and accomplish area-specific employee retention objectives Direct, organize and evaluate psychology programs, services and personnel Prepare, review and analyze all weekly and monthly reporting Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of human development throughout the life span and integrates with a child's unique developmental status Knowledge and appreciation of the influence of disabilities, socio-cultural and socioeconomic factors on the child's ability to participate in life Knowledge and use of developmental theories, models of practice, principles, and evidence-based practices to guide intervention decisions Knowledge of the federal, state, local, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures that mandate and guide psychological practice Ability to gather and assess outcomes program evaluation data and use that data to modify services at the programmatic level Ability to maintain current reporting, documentation, scheduling, and billing in accordance with professional standards, state and local guidelines, and reimbursement requirements Ability to determine the need for evaluations and to select and administer appropriate assessment tools to evaluate the child Education Requirements: A Ph.D. in clinical psychology, with a specialization in child clinical psychology from an APA-accredited training program or Psy.D. is required Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Washington Completion of an APA-approved internship Trained in the use of the ADOS with experience diagnosing children with autism Formal post-doctoral training in an appropriate area of specialization Medium Work: Lifting 50 lbs maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs Department & Supervision: This role is under the Manager/Administrative department at ICAN and you will directly report to the Regional Vice President Location: This position will be at ICAN's Bellevue South location; 5150 Village Park Drive SE, Bellevue WA 98006.
