Your Role and Responsibilities
The System Automation Migration Specialist candidate will require expertise in the mainframe (z/OS) environment. The applicant will be required to perform complex migration activities from competitive automation products to IBM System Automation for z/OS. The position requires a person with excellent communication skills and technical pre-sales experience is a plus.
The candidate will require Netview Pipes programming experience. The candidate must have a strong working knowledge of System Automation's policy database (PDB). Candidate's familiar with CICS, DB2 and IMS operational interfaces is a plus. The candidate will be required to investigate and analyze information to draw conclusions regarding migration paths and activities as well as the ability to write and maintain documentation. The position requires minimum supervision and to work as a team member with internal employees, contractors and customer employees.
Experience with other Mainframe automation packages (CA/Broadcom OPS/MVS, IBM AFOper and BMC AUTOOPERATOR) is desired.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ Years Mainframe (OS/390, z/OS) and proficient with TSO/ISPF, REXX Programming
  • 5+ Years System Automation and Netview for Z/OS experience
  • Demonstrated communication skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience with migrating other Mainframe automation tools to IBM System Automation
  • Basic Z/OS System Programming knowledge/skills
  • Technical pre-sales experience
