Job Description
Summary:
This job position is located at Aberdeen MD and provides support to multiple programs supported by IAP from the Aberdeen location. Supported customers include but are not limited to The Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical Biological Defense (JPEO CBD), The United States Army Communications Command (CECOM) and The United States Army Special Operation Command (SOCOM)
Senior logistician responsible for wide range for logistics functions to support multiple teams deployed CONUS and OCONUS. Primary support role is providing Contract Logistics Support (CLS) to the Joint Program Manager Nuclear Biological Chemical Contamination Avoidance (JPMNBC CA). The SR Logistician directs, plans and oversees logistics functions related to all project requirements. Conducts receiving, warehousing, shipment preparation, routing and distribution operations. Enforces program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Advises management on needed actions. Determine best value and most expedient logistics routes and vendors to ensure consistent customer support. Interact with local logistics providers and reach back to headquarters for support on significant issues. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciliations and inventory adjustments records using Maximo property management capabilities. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Maintains warehouse staff by assisting recruitment efforts as well as selecting, orienting, and training employees. Maintains warehouse staff performance levels by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Assure training programs for warehouse equipment and associated property is maintained, updated and all employees are cross-trained.

Job Description:
+ Performs logistic program activities to include, Shipping, Receiving, Inventories and safeguarding material and supplies.
+ Planning coordinating and completing shipment of material and supplies to and from CONUS and OCONUS locations.
+ Preparing, reviewing program process procedures that direct logistics and warehouse functions.
+ Conducting, compiling and submitting cyclic inventory report to IPA Property Management team.
+ Coordinating and completing Return Merchandise Authorizations. (RMA) and associated documentation.
+ Develop packaging and shipping material requirements for all program material and inventory.
+ Maintain property records, equipment transfers and disposition.
+ Conducts catalog research using FLIS, FEDLOG data bases.
+ Resolves logistics problems and compiles data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to support logistic activities.
+ Track usage and inventory of obsolete items.
+ Assist deployed team with completing trade compliance documentation.
+ Operate and maintain 4-6K forklift.

Level of Supervision:Works unsupervised in a reliable manner to complete all tasks within schedule and quality standards. Provides supervision to junior logistics analyst performing warehouse operations tasks as required.

Required Education & Experience:
+ Minimum of Six years Warehouse operations experience with a 4 year degree, Ten years of experience without a degree. IAP will evaluate and consider equivalent experience and education combinations.
+ Maximo and GCSS-A preferred. Other systems such as ULLS, SAMS, SARRS, Shop floor
+ Familiar with Trade compliance requirements
+ Certified to train forklift operators preferred
+ Have excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Experience conducting troubleshooting and repairs on small engine and hydraulic machines.

License & Certifications:
+ GCSS-A Training Certificates
+ OSHA 30-hour training course

Knowledge & Skills:
+ Experience with GCSS-A and IBM Maximo
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.

Physical Demands/Working Environment:
+ Must be physically able to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
+ Must be able to lift heavy objects ~40lbs.
