Automotive Studio Engineer

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is currently looking for an Automotive Studio Engineer who is bilingual to assist our Senior Studio Engineer in daily tasks at the Genesis Design Center (GDC) in Irvine, CA. This will be a full-time position.

• Assist the Design Studio by providing additional Engineering and CAD CATIA V5 support
• Act as liaison between GDC Design/Clay/CAS teams, and Engineering team in Korea
• Comfortable working at GDC, following any and all COVID-related guidelines
• Willing to join and participate in virtual meetings with Korean (and other) Engineering team(s), adjusting for local time
• Knowledge of safety standards, as well as understanding the integration of full vehicle systems
• Korean/English Bilingual preferred, but not mandatory

Qualifications:

• Catia V5 Experience: GSD (Generative Shape Design), (some Alias knowledge is a plus)
• Packaging experience
• Ability to read and write Korean preferred, but not mandatory
• Must be comfortable working in studio during pandemic (under safe conditions)
• Proficient in Catia V5 (some Alias knowledge is a plus)
• Interior/Exterior automotive experience
• Ability to multitask
• Willing to travel when necessary

Compensation:

• $61,400~$78,051

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• 3-5 years within the Automotive industry (interior/exterior both a must)
• Candidates applying for positions with GDC/HATCI must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
