HydroGeoLogic, Inc. (HGL) has an opportunity for a mid-level Human Resource professional to work as part of the corporate HR department reporting to the Director, HR. The successful candidate will join a strong, collaborative team and must have previous experience working in two or more HR disciplines (i.e.: recruiting, benefits, compensation, SCLS, employee relations, onboarding, training, or policy development). HGL is growing and new opportunities in the HR department will be opening up in the coming year. Initially this person will work on a variety of special projects and new initiatives. The position is part time to start.
The responsibilities of this position are that of a generalist able to address issues in multiple disciplines of human resources. Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization as well as ensuring compliance with current with Federal requirements and reporting deadlines. Initially this person will be working on a variety of special projects in support of the current HR team. Projects will touch on the areas of policy development, mentorship, training, compensation, and compliance reporting. The successful candidate will perform additional HR related duties as required and assigned. This position will be part-time approximately 20 hours a week. We anticipate there may be an opportunity to convert to full-time in the coming year.
* Required Skills*
Must have strong communication, research, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail. Must be able to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects well and work with minimum supervision. Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite required and strong Excel skills are needed to successfully complete work.
* Required Experience*
Previous work experience in HR where confidentiality was critical to successfully performing duties. Must demonstrate a command of general knowledge in two or more HR disciplines. Experience using ADP, BalanceTrak, SharePoint, and WorkSmart are a plus.
Must have 6 years of HR experience with an AA degree, or 3-4 years of experience with a bachelor's degree. A degree in business or psychology with a concentration in HR is preferred.
Pre-employment drug test is required. Would like to fill this position in September. Will discuss temporary telework arrangements if appropriate.
