POSITION DESCRIPTION


This position will provide full-time on-site support to a multi-year environmental project at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah involving remediation of multiple sites across the installation.


Responsibilities/Duties


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING


The person hired for this role will be responsible for:


+ Acting as Deputy Program Manager for the overall project, which will include:


+ Representation of the HGL Project Manager at local engagements such as the Restoration Advisory Board, status meetings and similar.


+ Management of recurring project tracking and preparation of recurring project tracking documents, for internal and external use.


+ Monthly project reporting/invoicing, schedule management and financial management.


+ Interactions with customer representatives and internal HGL leadership and staff.


+ Acting as a Site Project Manager overseeing technical planning, budgeting, scheduling, directing resources, risk management, and reporting, for several sites undergoing remediation at the installation under the overall project.


+ Providing leadership and oversight of HGL's on-site staff for the project.


Required Skills


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL


The ideal candidate will need the following as a foundation for success in this role:


+ Minimum 10 years of experience executing and managing remediation projects, including oversight of project teams, management of budget, schedule, safety, quality, technical performance and customer satisfaction.


+ BA/BS in Engineering, Science or a related academic field. (MA/MS in a related field may decrease the years of experience required).


+ Excellent time management and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and keep organized to ensure timely and accurate work.


+ Ability to build consensus among leadership, internal, and external stakeholders through effective interpersonal communication and relationship building skills.


Preferred Skills


WHAT YOU NEED TO STAND OUT


+ Experience working on U.S. federal contracts.


+ Experience managing firm-fixed price, performance-based projects.


+ Experience on RCRA, CERCLA, or DoD projects.


+ Leadership skills including prior experience mentoring and supervising staff.


+ Contaminated soil and groundwater remediation and/or vapor intrusion experience.


+ Current and valid 40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER certification, up to date annual 8-hr OSHA refresher certification (as applicable).


+ Professional credential (e.g., PE, PG and/or PMP).
