Currently we are looking for a Full-Time Digital Dental Technician- MANAGEMENT Dental Lab Technician - CAD/CAM Location: Rochester, NY, USA Benefits Offered: 401K, Dental, Life, Medical, Vision Employment Type: Full time

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Must be willing to commute and/or relocate to our office (Rochester, NY). Relocation is negotiable for the right candidate.
  • MUST HAVE DENTAL LABORATORY CAD/CAM EXPERIENCE

Manage staff, projects and procurement of both software and hardware, plus the day-to-day output of the CAD function.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Scan and design work orders according to doctor’s prescription requests, using
  • CAD /CAM technology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Read work prescriptions and examine cases to determine design of dental restoration
  • Scan, design, and fabricate dental prosthesis using CAD / CAM software and technology
  • knowledge of industry implants and prosthetic components
  • Receiving and entering work orders and accompanying materials including impressions, models and components
  • Triage incoming cases to determine their path through the lab
  • The manufacture and fitting of all aspects of hybrid-implant dental prosthetics including accurate manufacture and articulation of implant models, setting of denture teeth, denture processing and all related components and processes.
  • The ability to ensure the accurate and on time manufacture of prosthetics to a patient-driven schedule.
  • Denture and all hybrid-implant restoration repairs
  • Maintenance of all laboratory facilities, equipment, and instruments
  • Monitoring of all laboratory related supplies and ordering through paper and/or computer-based purchase order systems.
  • Teaching and mentoring other technicians and auxiliary staff
  • Operate computers and standard office type applications such as web browsers, word processing and spreadsheet software applications as well as dental laboratory specific applications.
  • Maintain only the highest degree of professionalism and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Manage a team of 10-15 employees, with 4 sub departments. oversee the work of CAD staff, making sure that every design adheres to applicable product standards.
  • Able to create dept productivity reports and maintenance reports
  • Able to collaborate with product development team to integrate new workflow processes
  • skilled at learning their team's individual strengths, building on their weaknesses, and delegating work to the appropriate team member

SKILL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years dental laboratory experience as a laboratory technician, or prior experience working for a dental implant manufacturer, or CAD / CAM designer
  • Experience with 3shape, Nobel, Exocad, and other desktop scanners and software
