The Hutton Brickyards seeks an experienced, and mentally tough, facilities and operations manager, who has worked at a large resort or event focused hotel, or a venue such as Bethel woods, Tanglewood, MassMoca, Mohonk Mountain House, Stone Barns, a large private-event focused museum in NYC, or one of the many of fast-paced, always booked, top-shelf event venues in NYC.

The Director of Facilities and Operations oversees the Hutton Brickyards site, including physical upkeep and condition. Responsible for overall creation and enforcement of Hutton Brickyard House Rules.


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years Operations and Facilities Management, working in large events in large resorts, event focused hotels or large private event focused museums
    • supervision of a staff of 5 or more and management of 3rd party vendor
  • Ability to read contracts and understand how it affects what the individual client is allowed to do or not do
  • Familiarity with NY State Liquor License law and City of Kingston’s safety departments
  • Must be a strategic thinker and operator capable of monitoring and commenting on operational matters. Must have the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization as well as externally to providers and executives. Should display a pragmatic, consultative approach combined with expertise in world-class operations practices. Must have demonstrated decision-making skills.
