Job Description

The Host/Hostess position responsibilities include; welcoming al guest with a warm sincere greeting, escorting guests to a particular table, answering phones promptly and politely, acknowledging and thanking guests as they leave, and always presenting a professional image.

“Host/Hostess are the ambassadors to welcoming our guests and leading them to their respective tables in; dining room, lounge and PDR’s, as well as answering phone calls and checking in any guest item”

Position Requirements included but are not limited to:

Adhere to the “Steps of Service” as outlined in the service manual.

Clean and maintain supplies in Host Stand.

Maintain impeccable condition of menus.

Ensure smooth functioning of the desk.

Provide guests with accurate and up-to-date information about the restaurant.

Be proficient in the use of Seven Rooms Platform.

Perform assigned side work.

Adhere to the restaurant grooming, uniform and hygiene standards.

Welcome the guest to the restaurant with a warm sincere greeting.

Monitor all waiting times and minimize guest’s waits.

Maintain wait list.

Escort guest to a particular table

Use a tray to carry any of the guest’s items (drinks) from the waiting area to their table.

Pull out all chairs and stay with the table until they are seated.

Answer phones promptly and politely without sounding hurried and be prepared to answer FAQ.

Accurately transfer bar checks to dining room, directing bartender to correct table.

Know table and position numbers.

Acknowledge and thank the guest as they leave the restaurant.

Always clean the Host Stand; restock postcards and business cards before, during and after service.

Hand off Imperial Guest and/or guest with allergy information to the Manager and Captain immediately after the guests have been seated.

Communicate with Maitre’D and/or Management about any problems that may have been experience by guests.

 

The Floor Server responsibilities include; providing water service, delivering beverages, pouring wine, marking table with necessary mis en place, glassware and any utensil needed, clearing and resetting tables, coffee service, and  assisting the Captain to help provide an outstanding experience for all guests.

“Floor Server will be required to work on floor, lounge and PDR’s, having the same duties according  service area assigned”

Position Requirements included but are not limited to:

Adhere to the “Steps of Service” as outlined in the service manual.

Have a general knowledge of the menu and be able to articulate menu description.

Know all table numbers and position numbers.

Adhere to the restaurant grooming, uniform and hygiene standards.

Perform assigned side work.

Provide water and perform wine and beverage service, maintaining their levels.

Clearing tables between courses.

Resetting table for the next course.

Reset tables for next seating in a timely manner.

Run stock from the back-of-house to the dining room.

Assist Kitchen Server running food when needed.

Ensure that the necessary flatware, glassware and other extras for each course are set prior to food delivery.

Execute beverage service and adhere to proper wine service standards.

Anticipate needs of the guest and exceed their expectations.

Minimize breakage with proper handling of china and glassware.

Assist dishwasher in scraping palters, racking glasses and soaking flatware.

Clean and maintain organized your work area at all times.

Assist other stations, when requested.

Communicate with Captain and/or Managers about any guest need or problem.

Floor Server always should have: Pen, Order Taker Pad, wine key, lighter, sharpie, service napkin
