Huron Gastro, P.C. is an adult medical gastroenterology practice specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of disorders that affect the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine (colon), rectum, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. Currently, our practice includes 18 physicians who are board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, 4 physician assistants, and many other clinical and administrative personnel. The history of Huron Gastro is deeply tied to the history of gastroenterology. William A. Gracie, the practice’s founding partner, was one of the first physicians in the United States to test and use fiber-optic instruments in the diagnosis and treatment of colonic disease (colonoscopy). Dr. Gracie also studied the natural history of gallstones. The principles that he set forth in the 1970's for the management of asymptomatic gallstones are still widely accepted today. Decades later, we are a thriving gastroenterology practice that holds sacred a commitment to provide compassionate care and personalized service to each and every patient that walks through its doors. Simply put, our standard is and always has been to treat patients and their families as we would treat our own families.
